Shadow clock

A minimalist clock made almost entirely of light and shadow: raised white markers and hands on a white plate, lit by the sun. The shadows move with the real sun where you are — long and soft to the right in the morning, short and crisp at midday, stretching left in the evening — and fade to faint moonlit shadows at night.

Turn on “Fast-forward the light” to watch a whole day of shadows pass in a minute, or change the colours for a darker room.

How to use

• Switch clocks with ← →, by clicking or tapping the sides of the screen, or by swiping. The dice button (R) jumps to a random clock.
• Go full screen with the button in the top-right corner, a double-click or F.
• Open Customise (S) to change colours, fonts, 12/24-hour time, seconds, date and time zone. Settings are saved on this device.
